Coronal Mass Ejection
Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
Start Time: 2026-01-23T17:12Z ( SOHO: LASCO/C2 )
All Detecting Spacecrafts:
SOHO: LASCO/C2
SOHO: LASCO/C3
GOES: CCOR-1
Activity ID: 2026-01-23T17:12:00-CME-001 (version 1)
Note Keyword:
GAP: Data gap
OVR: Event partially overlaps with another CME
SB: Streamer Blowout following CME
Source Signature Keyword:
FIL: Filament eruption
OFL: Moving/Opening field lines
Morphology Keyword:
Note: This CME is visible to the SE in SOHO LASCO C2/C3 and GOES CCOR-1. It is not visible in STEREO A COR2 due to a data gap. The source appears to be a filament eruption from beyond the SE limb as seen in GOES SUVI 304 starting around 2026-01-23T15:48Z. Around the same time, faint moving/opening field lines are also visible to the SE in SDO/AIA 193/171 and GOES SUVI 284.

Event Type Catalog
Measurement TypeCME measurement type: Leading Edge (LE), Shock Front (SH), Right Hand Boundary (RHB), Left Hand Boundary (LHB), Black/White Boundary (BW), Prominence Core (COR), Disconnection Front (DIS), Trailing Edge (TE).
Prime?"primary flag" which is either True or False. If there are multiple CME analysis entries for a single CME, this flag would indicate which analysis is considered most accurate per measurement type. This is a helpful flag if you would like to download only one most accurate CME analysis per CME per Measurement Type
